While the most torrid of market selloffs still might be able to drag them lower, a modest market malaise may find many of these stocks quietly slipping back into rally mode.

Right now we’re as close to an inverted yield curve as we’ve been in a decade. It sure couldn’t hurt to go ahead and make plans for an inverted yield curve, just in case that’s how things take shape. The worst case scenario, you make a plan you never have to use.

While fears could pressure shares in the near-term, longer-term investors may want to buy the beaten-down shares now because the company is doing everything it’s supposed to be doing.

In some cases, they’re just great stocks that are far too oversold, while in other cases these names have been oddly resilient. Either way, they each merit a closer look as potential additions to your portfolio.

Obviously there are never any guarantees, but in all 10 cases there’s either a history or a special situation (if not both) that suggests an earnings bump may be in the cards.
