Today, with still-high rates but a cooldown around the corner, we have a nice shot at locking in some healthy bond dividends AND set ourselves up for gains, too.

As contrarian investors, we want to fade the “high long rate” hysteria.

Thanks to a two-year run of rising interest rates, these bond-like investments are cheap. But I don’t expect this to be the case for long, with rates ready to relax.

One holds well-known names; the other lesser-known firms. But they both trade at a discount today.

We want to snare shares before it boosts its payout.
