Welcome back for another opportunity to “take it to the bank” and spend $100 today on some of the best investing opportunities I can find.
This week, we’re talking about a stock that I think literally everyone – and I mean, everyone – should own as part of a long-term hold portfolio. Thirteen years ago, when I was first doing Stuart Varney’s show, Varney & Co., on Fox Business, he asked me whether he should sell off his shares of this company. He had some of it in his retirement account’s portfolio and it didn’t seem like it was going anywhere at the time.
I told him to stay the course because it was probably going to double, and he was gobsmacked, especially because the firm was so large by then already.
Well, he’s probably happy today. It’s doubled many times over since that conversation – and I think it’ll probably double again. We’re talking about a $2 trillion market cap tech company, rocking a 33% profit margin and sitting on a cash pile of over $100 billion.
And with the moves they’ve made lately in all the right sectors – cloud computing, AI, even video games – I’m betting we’ll see a $4 trillion market cap in two, maybe three years.
