SEC “Form 4″ documents (the kind that cover insider transactions) reveal that Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has made a series of 25 different purchases of the same stock over the past month.
The stock in question is kidney dialysis service providerĀ Da Vita (DVA), one of Buffett’s relatively new holdings.

According to the filings, Berkshire has gobbled up 889,815 shares since September 26, 2012.
And since then, the stock is up about 10%…

If we look at Buffett’s purchase history over this past year, we think it’s safe to say Da Vita is one of his favorite stocks to buy today.
All told, Berkshire now owns 10.8 million shares… which is more than 10% of Da Vita’s total outstanding shares.
As a 10% owner, Berkshire is now considered a “company insider” required by law to file SEC “Form 4″ within two business days of buying or selling the stock.
With this information at our fingertips, coattail investors have the opportunity to buy or sell the stock right alongside Buffett.
We’ve updated ourĀ Buffett Tracker to reflect these “insider” transactions.
